Why I Started LISM
For years, I practiced within highly respected academic healthcare systems — serving as a University of Kentucky faculty member and Team Physician for Georgetown College Athletics. By every measure, it was a fulfilling career. But I kept arriving at the same realization: the constraints of conventional practice were limiting the care I wanted to give.
Not because doctors don't care — they do. But a rushed 15-minute appointment doesn't allow a physician to look beyond the surface. It pressures quick prescriptions over root-cause answers, and leaves patients blindsided by surprise bills layered on top of their physical suffering.
I couldn't accept that as the standard.
So I built LISM — a deliberate middle ground between cutting-edge Western medicine and deep, root-cause integrative healing, with full price transparency. No hidden fees. No insurance middlemen.
